Today's Catholic Mass Readings — Friday, October 9, 2026 | Gospel Reflection

Daily Mass Readings and Gospel Reflection for Friday, October 9, 2026 | Friday of the Twenty-Seventh Week in Ordinary Time. In today’s Gospel, Jesus casts out a mute demon, yet some accuse Him of acting by the power of Beelzebul. This reflection invites us to recognize the work of God with upright hearts and to stand decisively with Christ, the stronger One who conquers evil and brings the Kingdom of God near. In the light of Saint Paul’s teaching in Galatians, we see that Christ frees humanity from sin, the curse, and the power of evil through His Cross and Resurrection. The Gospel also warns us that a soul must not remain empty after being cleansed; it must be filled with Christ, His Word, the Holy Spirit, prayer, and the Eucharist. ► Full Gospel listening: https://youtu.be/sLweLH9WaLk ► Timestamps: 00:00 Preface 00:22 First Reading 01:43 Gospel Reading 03:30 Gospel Reflection 15:44 Prayer 16:42 Closing Message 🕊️ May the Word of God guide your steps today.
