Description

A freezer. Minus thirty. You walk out in a hoodie. A steel chamber. The air leaves. The gauge falls to nothing. A normal person passes out in about fifteen seconds. You could stay three days. What if your body became space-proof? Your skin holds the pressure in, your blood stays liquid, the sun can't burn you, and you carry three days of air. You ride a rocket in a red hoodie, step out of the airlock and watch sixteen sunrises a day. You fix an antenna in four minutes, a job that takes real astronauts hours of preparation in a twelve-million-dollar suit. The crew starts calling you the Hoodie. But space can't hurt you, and it can't help you either. There is nothing to push against, no brakes, and no sound. Every sunrise costs you sleep and the radiation adds up. Then, on day forty-one, a tether snaps, and the only way to bring Commander Vega home is a push that pushes back. There is no road home in space. You gave her yours. 💬 Where would you float first?
