A Prince in Disguise | Dark Fantasy Series (Part 149)

Two men.🖤 One suspiciously gentle kiss. 🔥 And a romance nobody is willing to admit exists. Rook has a problem. Actually... several problems. The first is Tristan. A dangerous bounty hunter. An outlaw. And the man who kidnapped Alaric. The second problem is Yannis. Who has just discovered that Rook has been kissing said bounty hunter. Twice. And is understandably furious about it. But the third problem? That might be the worst one. Because Alaric has arrived. And unlike Yannis... he doesn't seem particularly upset. In fact... he looks rather amused. "So... what exactly is going on?" Yannis doesn't hesitate. "Rook's been kissing that outlaw!" A perfectly reasonable explanation. At least from Yannis' perspective. But Alaric? He simply smiles. "Oh. How romantic." And just like that... Rook's morning becomes considerably worse. Because romantic? No. Absolutely not. That's certainly not what happened. At least... that's what he'd like everyone to believe. "It wasn't romantic!" Unfortunately for Rook... Tristan has something to say about that. And Tristan has never been particularly good at keeping his mouth shut. Especially when there's an opportunity to embarrass Rook. "You did kiss me rather gently." And there it is. That one little detail Rook would probably prefer everyone forgot. Because perhaps the first kisses could be explained away as attraction. A little fun. A moment of weakness. But that last kiss? The one Rook came back for? The one that made Tristan smile? That one might be a little harder to explain. Alaric looks at Rook. And there's something almost delightfully knowing in his expression. "Interesting..." Yannis, meanwhile, looks at his own lover as though he's completely lost his mind. "What?" Because apparently... Alaric is finding this whole situation rather more entertaining than he should. And Rook? Well... he's discovering that falling for an enemy is one thing. Having everyone else notice before you're ready to admit it? That's an entirely different problem. 😏 This is just a small moment from The Firelords Saga — where enemies are becoming something more, even the most guarded hearts can betray themselves... and sometimes one gentle kiss says far more than a hundred denials ever could. 🔥🖤 Thank you to everyone already following their story… it truly means more than you know. 🖤 If you love slow burn romance, emotional tension, fantasy storytelling, and Boys Love (BL) dynamics — this is for you. 💛 New here?
