Description

More than 4,000 years ago, Dholavira stood in the harsh landscape of Gujarat’s Rann of Kutch. One of the major settlements of the Indus Valley Civilization, the city was built with reservoirs, channels, stone walls, and carefully planned spaces designed to manage precious water. Dholavira was eventually abandoned. Archaeologists have explored several possible explanations, including environmental change, shifting water systems, and weakening monsoons. Its ruins remain a powerful reminder of how ancient communities adapted to an unforgiving landscape. #IndianHistory #Dholavira #IndusValleyCivilization #AncientIndia #Archaeology #HistoryShorts #TheForgottenPast
