Daily Bible Verse + Prayer for Today | Deuteronomy 8:18 | Morning Devotional

Are you carrying the pressure of providing as though everything depends on you? Begin your day with Deuteronomy 8:18 and a morning prayer about remembering God as your source, working with gratitude, and using His gifts faithfully. “But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.” - Deuteronomy 8:18 (KJV) One word directs our attention in this verse: “remember.” Moses warned Israel against looking at their prosperity and crediting their own strength alone. Their ability to produce and prosper depended on the God who had sustained them. This passage calls us to humility and gratitude rather than guaranteeing personal riches. It invites us to recognize the gifts behind our work: strength, skills, understanding, opportunities, and the help we have received along the way. In today’s morning devotional, we reflect on three practical reminders: • Remember God as the source of your abilities. • Approach your work with diligence, humility, and trust. • Use what you have been given with wisdom and generosity. Perhaps financial responsibilities have left you feeling overwhelmed. Or perhaps success has made it easy to overlook how much you have received. Bring both your concerns and your achievements before the Lord. Ask Him for wisdom in your decisions, strength for your responsibilities, and a grateful heart. Faithful stewardship begins with recognizing what has been entrusted to you and choosing to use it well. Join Inspired Topics as we open God’s Word and pray over our work, provision, and purpose.
