🔦 There is a crack in the mountains near the Black Sea that drops for more than 2 kilometres, straight down. It is the deepest cave anyone has ever found, and reaching the bottom takes weeks of climbing and diving through freezing, flooded tunnels. This is Krubera.
In this documentary we go all the way down: how explorers first pushed past 2,000 metres into a chamber they named Game Over, the cave diver who set the world depth record at the flooded bottom, and the strange, eyeless life scientists found down there, including the deepest land animal ever recorded on Earth. We also look at how Krubera keeps trading the title of deepest cave in the world with its neighbour Veryovkina, why the water at the bottom drains into the Black Sea, and why nobody actually knows how deep this cave really goes.
