Description
After losing 55 pounds on Zepbound at 72, I found myself facing something so many of us experience on a GLP-1 weight loss journey, a frustrating plateau. The scale just wasn't moving, and I knew I needed to take a closer look at what I was doing.
In today's video, I'm sharing the five changes I made that helped me get moving in the right direction again. Some of them might surprise you!
We’ll talk about why I started tracking my food again to make sure I was eating enough, how I increased my protein and paid closer attention to fiber, why I added short walks after meals, how I'm working on building and maintaining muscle with strength exercises, and why getting more sleep became a priority.
I'll even show you some of the simple exercises I'm doing at home. Nothing fancy, no gym required, just realistic changes that work for me at 72.
If you're taking Zepbound, Mounjaro, Wegovy, or another GLP-1 medication and you've experienced a weight loss plateau, I hope my experience encourages you. Weight loss isn't always a straight line, especially as we get older.
I'm not a medical professional, and these are simply the changes I've made in my own journey. Always work with your healthcare provider when making changes to your health or weight loss plan.
If you're new here, welcome to Finding Grace With Paula! We talk about GLP-1 weight loss after 60, healthy aging, and finding purpose in every season of life. I'd love to have you join our community by subscribing.
💪 Strength Training Inspiration
Some of the exercises I demonstrate in this video were inspired by Jamie Selzler's strength-training video. I appreciate his practical approach to helping us stay strong and active as we get older.
