Description
At 72, I’ve lost over 50 pounds on a GLP-1 called Zepbound, written and published a book, and started a YouTube channel. None of these things were part of some big plan. I simply reached a point where I realized I wanted something new for myself.
My Zepbound journey has become about much more than losing weight. It has made me think about my health, my strength and what I want my life to look like 10 or 15 years from now.
I want to keep trying new things, going places, spending time with the people I love and enjoying my life, but I want to be healthy enough to do those things.
In today's video, I'm talking about what happens as we get older and our lives begin to change. Our children grow up. The house gets quieter. The roles that defined us for so many years aren't quite the same anymore.
And eventually we may find ourselves asking a question we haven't asked in a very long time: What do I want from my life now?
I'm sharing some personal thoughts about my grown sons, losing my mother when she was only 68, a wonderful 90-year-old friend who inspires me, my weight-loss journey, and why at 72 I still want to challenge myself and try things I've never done before.
This isn't about staying busy or proving anything because we're getting older. It's about taking care of ourselves, staying curious about life, and being open to whatever might still be ahead.
Although I'm sharing my experience at 72, this conversation is for women in their 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and beyond. ❤️
And I have a challenge for you: What is one thing you've wanted to do but haven't done yet?
Tell me in the comments: “My one thing is…”
