📗 Save $2,000 A Year On Whiskey With My Distiller Methods: https://wadecooperdistiller.com Ray paid 74 dollars for a bottle of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof, poured himself three glasses at his own retirement party, and spent the next day in his chair. He decided whiskey did not agree with him anymore. He was right about the night and wrong about the whiskey. I spent 34 years on the making side of the bottle. The industry counts whiskey in proof gallons, and the man at home counts it in fingers. In this video I give you eleven things, starting with the old distiller trick Hoyt used in the warehouse: take 120, divide it by the proof on your label, and that is how many ounces make one drink from your bottle. Then I count Ray's night for you, ounce by ounce, and I tell you what happened when he brought the same bottle over on Labor Day. I am not a doctor, and nobody drives on any of this. The count tells you what is in your blood. It does not tell you it is gone. Your homework: pour your usual pour into your usual glass, read the line in a measuring cup, divide 120 by the proof, and write that number on a piece of tape on the neck of the bottle. Then tell me in the comments what town you are in and how many ounces your usual pour measured. CHAPTERS: 00:00 – 74 dollars, three glasses, and a night behind the garage 01:11 – Any bottle, any strength, and knowing what you drank 01:52 – No pill, no powder, just the label and a measuring cup 02:10 – Who I am: 34 years on the making side 02:41 – The industry counts in proof gallons, you count in fingers 03:22 – One: pour by the proof, not by the glass 06:05 – Two: measure your pour one time 07:32 – Three: eat before the first pour 08:34 – Four: one drink an hour 09:46 – Five: stay with one bottle and count the beer 10:38 – Six: what I take back about water 11:43 – Seven: watch the fizz and watch the diet 12:45 – Eight: the kind of whiskey matters more than the price 14:35 – Nine: stop buying hangover pills 15:37 – Ten: the last pour two hours before bed 16:29 – Eleven: read the proof and write your number on tape 17:40 – The honest limits of the word never 18:52 – Ray's night, counted ounce by ounce 19:46 – Labor Day with the same bottle 20:40 – No sponsor, and the man who decided nothing 21:38 – Your homework: pour, measure, read, tape 22:10 – Next time, and until then #whiskey #bourbon #hangover #distiller #whiskeytips #barrelproof #elijahcraig #standarddrink #homebar #drinkresponsibly
