Description
📗 Save $2,000 A Year On Whiskey With My Distiller Methods: https://wadecooperdistiller.com
You walk into Total Wine, turn left toward the bourbon, and there is a wall of 683 bottles with a story on every front. You pick the one with the best story, it rings up at 83 dollars, and it is fine. Not 83 dollars of fine. It is not you. I spent 34 years on the other side of that wall, and I can tell you what ten of those bottles have in them, because I know what went into the barrel and what the label is not saying.
Five bourbons that are robbing you blind, with the price, the proof and the thing on the label that ought to bother you. Then five that are worth every dollar, counting down to the best 55 dollars you will spend all year. The bad five sell you a story where a number should be. The good five sell you a number where a story could have been.
Along the way: a boat ride on a whiskey nobody will put their name on; water from a limestone mine; the difference between bottled by and distilled by; what a second barrel is really for; a 43 dollar bottle and a 25 dollar bottle born in the same building from the same mash; the only word on a bourbon label the government checks, and the law from 1897 behind it; and the barrel entry proof, the number nobody prints, and why the best bottle on the wall was filled at 115 and not 125.
Then the five things I read on any bottle, in about a minute: the proof, the age, the verb, the plant number and the story.
Your homework: stand in front of the wall for five minutes with nothing in the cart, read the five things on any bottle over 40 dollars, then pour a 25 dollar bonded bourbon next to whatever you bought last month.
Nobody paid me to make this video. No company sent me a bottle, there is no link and no code, and nothing to buy at the end of this.
