Description

I’m 104 years old. If I could go back to seventy, the first thing I’d stop paying for is a drug plan I never compared. I let mine renew year after year without once looking at it, and the window to compare opens again right now, October fifteenth to December seventh. In this video I share the five things I’d stop paying for if I were seventy today, with the choices you have now and a hundred and four years of watching where the money really goes. I paid for every one of these. Some of them for decades. I talk about the October my granddaughter sat me down at the kitchen table with every pill bottle I owned and showed me what I’d been handing over for years for nothing, same pills, same pharmacy, just a plan I never opened the envelope on. I talk about extended warranties, and my Robert, a careful man who said yes at the register to everything including the toaster, and the one time in thirty years we actually used one. I talk about the rule that changed in October of 2022 that most people my age never heard a single word about, which means you may not have to pay full price for hearing aids anymore, and exactly when you should ignore that and go straight to a doctor instead. I talk about the eighty dollars that is still the best eighty dollars in America, which you pay once and never again. And I talk about number five, which isn’t a bill at all. It’s my friend Lorraine from church, eighty-one years old, sharp as a tack, who drove to three different stores one morning and read four thousand dollars in gift card numbers over the phone to a man who said her grandson was in jail. Her grandson was asleep in his own bed. She didn’t tell a soul for two months because she was ashamed. People over sixty reported seven point seven billion dollars in losses for 2025, and that is only what got reported. Each of the five comes with one step you can actually take this week, and one rule short enough to remember. Every dollar you stop wasting is a dollar you get to spend on the people and the places you love. At seventy, that’s what money is for. I wasted plenty. You don’t have to. Subscribe for more life wisdom from people who’ve been there. Real stories. Real advice. No filters. No regrets left unspoken. Leave a comment and tell me which of the five you’re still paying for, and send this to somebody over seventy, especially the one who still answers every phone call. I read every comment and love hearing your stories. #lifeadvice #lifelessons #medicare #seniors #savemoney #retirement #scamalert #centenarian ABOUT this Channel This channel features honest conversations with people over 60 sharing their biggest mistakes, deepest regrets, and most powerful life lessons.
