Australia 1999 Cold Case Solved - She Knew The Murderer

In October 1998, a 71-year-old woman in Canberra went to her garden at night to pick a lemon and walked into two men burgling her house. One of them punched her to the ground. As she fell she reached up and tore the balaclava off his head and handed it to police. Thirteen months later two masked men forced their way into the new house she had moved to for safety, found a hidden compartment under the kitchen oven containing 30,000 dollars, and left her on the hallway floor. Her husband heard it happen from the next room. Police cleared 331 suspects across 26 years. The two men who did it were in Melbourne the entire time, and the only reason they were ever found was that one of them got thirsty, opened the fridge, and had a drink.
