Description

One of the most popular arguments against the Shroud of Turin's 1988 radiocarbon dating has been that scientists tested the wrong part of the cloth — possibly material from a later repair. But researchers recently examined surviving textile fragments from the actual University of Arizona radiocarbon sample. They found no evidence of invisible reweaving, no cotton fibers indicating a repair with different material, and no contamination sufficient to explain away the radiocarbon result. That doesn't settle every mystery surrounding the Shroud. But it does make one thing harder to dismiss: the evidence supporting a medieval date. So where does that leave the Shroud of Turin? ▶️ Watch the full investigation on Crown & Palm Chronicles as we examine the history, image, scientific testing, controversial 1988 carbon dating, and competing evidence surrounding the possible burial cloth of Jesus Christ. #ShroudOfTurin #JesusChrist #CarbonDating #ChristianHistory #CatholicHistory
