*Lyrics* Dawn is rising over the land Our age is coming - our golden age! The double-headed eagle soared aloft The people blazed up with delight! Dawn is rising over the land Our age is coming - our golden age! The double-headed eagle soared aloft The people blazed up with delight! Peoples of the world! behold us Russia's hour of glory has struck! Holy faith is our stronghold The Empress-Mother leads us on! Victory thunders. The banner streams Into the dust is cast down every foe Suvorov leads the host to war And the world bowed before the Neva! Our high noon has come - eternal light Our Russian realm knows no bounds! The eagle soars above all the earth For the Faith the Tsar and our native home!
