The Fake Cops Who Pulled Off the Perfect Heist... Then Blew It

On September 5, 2019, a group of men disguised as police officers pulled off one of Kenya's most audacious cash robberies, walking away with KSh72 million from a G4S cash convoy delivering money to Standard Chartered Bank ATMs. But the robbery itself wasn't their biggest mistake. Within days, detectives recovered millions in cash, a red Subaru Forester allegedly bought with the stolen money, and arrested the suspected masterminds, Wycliffe Vincent Owuor and Chris Ayienda. Yet the story took an even darker turn months later when Vincent was shot dead in broad daylight in Kayole under circumstances that continue to raise serious questions. Was it a genuine police shootout, or was Kenya's most important robbery suspect silenced before the full truth could emerge? In this Dark Hour Docs documentary, we uncover the extraordinary story of fake police officers, insider betrayal, the KSh72 million G4S robbery, the investigation that exposed a wider network, and the controversial killing that left more questions than answers. It covers these in Chapters Intro The Illusion The Perfect Robbery One Dumb Mistake The Execution The Unanswered Questions If you enjoy well-researched Kenyan true crime documentaries, remember to Like, Subscribe, and turn on notifications so you never miss a new investigation. #DarkHourDocs #Kenya #TrueCrime #G4S #StandardChartered #PoliceImpostor #Robbery #DCI #Documentary #CrimeDocumentary #Kayole #KenyanHistory #Crime
