Account 2 — Two rangers doing condition checks on protected rock shelters in Kentucky found one with a hearth used many times over, bones stacked deliberately against the back wall, and a smoothed hollow in the floor. One of them crawled in to photograph it. Something came down over the lip of the overhang and went in after him. Eleven seconds of noise, then nothing — and the dust in there holds a print like plaster. Account 3 — A ranger with twenty-six years of tracking followed the clearest sign he'd ever cut, and two hours in realised it was avoiding rock on purpose. He wasn't tracking it. It was walking him somewhere. When he turned around there were fresh prints on top of his own — and at a stone shelter on a bench, three of them closed a triangle on him.
