Why Wolves Give Up on Mountain Goats

Why Wolves Give Up on Mountain Goats link video : https://youtu.be/M7rar_6pGxM A wolf pack can run an elk into the ground across miles of open country. So why do the wolves in these mountains keep going hungry? The answer is standing on the edge of a cliff. Mountain goats don't outrun predators, they out-climb them. Their hooves grip rock that a wolf's paws simply slide off, their bodies carry weight low enough to stay balanced on a ledge, and every rule of their herd life keeps an escape route just above them. For a wolf, following them up isn't just a wasted chase. One slip on these walls can end a hunting career for good. This is the story of how a mountain turns into the best defense a prey animal could ask for. 00:00 Why the wolves go hungry 00:35 How a wolf actually hunts 01:06 The animal that doesn't run 01:34 A hoof built like a climbing shoe 02:15 Why wolf paws fail on rock 02:44 Built low, built to balance 03:34 The pack that waits 04:07 The one mistake goats can't make 04:27 Kids on the uphill side 04:57 Learning to climb within hours 05:23 When the wolves get their chance 05:59 The real cost of one bad step 06:50 A home that fights back #wildlife #mountaingoats #wolves #naturedocumentary #animals ⚠️ DISCLAIMER This video is created for educational, documentary, and storytelling purposes.
