The Gangster Who Declared War on Kenya's Police

The Gangster Who Declared War on Kenya's Police At just 23 years old, Michael Paul Mwaniki, better known as Mwanii Sparta, transformed the notorious Gaza Gang into one of Nairobi's most feared criminal organizations. What began as street robberies soon escalated into a violent campaign against Kenyan police officers, with the gang targeting officers to steal their service weapons and strengthen their arsenal. This documentary follows Mwanii's rise to power after taking control of the Gaza Gang, the formation of his trusted inner circle, the role played by Claire Adi Vybz and other key members, the murders that shocked Kenya, and the massive police manhunt that ultimately brought his reign to an end. Through police reports and publicly available accounts, this video reconstructs one of Kenya's most notorious criminal stories and examines how ambition, paranoia, and escalating violence led to the downfall of a young gang leader who believed he could take on the police themselves.
