Description

On a night in February 1999, two friends dropped a 17-year-old girl outside a closed pub in the middle of Gulgong, a town of 2,000 people in rural New South Wales. She had under 2 kilometres to walk home. Her body was found in the long grass beside that road three days later. The scene had been out in an Australian summer for 72 hours. There was no DNA, no witness, and no forensic result of any kind. The only way this case was ever going to be solved was if the man who did it said so himself. It took a cold case review, a fake criminal organisation built by police, and 21 years of silence finally breaking on a dark roadside to get him there.
