Description
My grandmother paid for exactly one monthly subscription: the newspaper, sixty cents a week. At 52, I found I was paying almost $800 a month in subscriptions I'd half forgotten about. Here's how I stopped.
When I turned 52, I sat down at my kitchen table with three months of bank statements and a yellow highlighter. By the time I finished, half the page was yellow: nine dollars here, fifteen there, almost eight hundred dollars a month in total. So I went back to my grandmother's way of living. You pay for what you use, and nothing more. In this video I walk you through the 11 monthly subscriptions I canceled one by one, from coffee pods and meal kits to a gym I went to only eleven times last year. For each one I share the simple, old-fashioned habit Grandma used instead. Stay until number one, because the last one isn't really about money at all.
⏱️ TIMESTAMPS:

8:15 — #6: Paying extra for dinner I still cooked
9:28 — #5: The gym visits that cost $49 each
10:38 — #4: Four streaming services, nothing to watch
11:48 — #3: The car wash club built on wishful thinking

Which one of these are you going to cancel first? Or is there a sneaky subscription I missed that's draining your account? Tell me in the comments.
