How a Concrete Truck works

Cement mixers, or concrete mixer trucks are specialized vehicles used to mix and transport concrete from a factory to construction sites. Typical cement mixers have a long chassis with a very large rotating drum mounted on the back. Internal helical blades keep the cement mixture in motion, preventing segregation or hardening during the drive to the intended build site. Trucks also include a dispensing chute for guiding the cement to the mold. Concrete itself is a very versatile material and remains structurally sound for long periods of time in a range of conditions. It is frequently used to create building foundations, buildings themselves, roads and bridges and can even be used to make underwater structures. It can be reinforced with a variety of internal materials, most often steel rebar.
