3 Solo Hikers Vanished at Mile Marker 7 — Only One Backpack Was Ever Found

3 solo hikers vanished at Mile Marker 7 in Allegheny National Forest. These scary camping stories and true scary stories are true horror stories told exactly as they happened. Three horrifying disappearances on the same mile of trail. Account 1 — Eleven Seconds: two men walking out after dark. One is ripped sideways off the trail so fast his trekking poles are left standing upright in the dirt. His friend holds his pack for 11 seconds while something pulls back. The pack tears. He loses the top joint of two fingers. Account 2 — Dragged 60 Feet: a solo camper steps out at 4AM for a food canister. Something takes her ankle and drags her 60 feet through roots and rock with no footprints beside her. She survives because her boots weren't laced. Crawling out on a broken tibia, she finds a 2-year-old packed backpack belonging to a missing man never found. Account 3 — 90 Seconds: a father sends his 15-year-old son ahead to a locked car and turns back 90 seconds for their packs. The boy never reaches the car. His headlamp is found 400 yards up the trail, still switched on.
