Australia 1984 Cold Case Solved - Arrest Shocks Community

On an afternoon in March 1984, a body was found on a dirt track off a back road in rural Victoria, 20 kilometres from Melton. He was 25, a ruckman for the local football club, with no criminal record and no enemies anyone could name. He had been restrained and shot multiple times. Within days detectives concluded he was too physically large to have been tied by one man. In a town where everybody knew everybody, not one person said a word for 38 years. The man charged in 2022 was already sitting inside a maximum security prison when detectives arrived to charge him. Police said on the same day he did not act alone. The million dollar reward is still on the table.
