Description

Honda has introduced a comprehensive facelift for its compact SUV, the WR-V, bringing significant styling and equipment upgrades. Although the model remains mechanically unchanged, the extensive exterior and interior revisions give the SUV a noticeably fresher appearance and a more premium cabin. The Honda WR-V was introduced in Japan in March 2024 as the brand’s compact SUV. In India, the same model is sold under the Elevate name. The WR-V name stands for “Winsome Runabout Vehicle.” The facelifted Honda WR-V retains the same dimensions as the outgoing model. It measures 4,312 mm long, 1,790 mm wide and 1,650 mm tall, with a 2,650 mm wheelbase. Depending on the variant, the SUV is available with 16- or 17-inch wheels, while the boot offers 458 litres of cargo capacity. The most noticeable exterior changes are concentrated around the lighting and front-end design. The SUV now features a new segmented LED daytime running light positioned above the grille. The DRL visually connects the existing LED headlamps, giving the front fascia a wider appearance. Honda has also redesigned the grille with a new mesh pattern and gloss-black finish. The fog lamp surrounds are now finished in the body colour, while the Honda badge has been relocated from the grille to the leading edge of the bonnet. At the rear, the facelift introduces a new LED light bar connecting the two tail-lamps. However, the overall rear design remains familiar. The alloy wheel designs have also been carried over from the previous model. The biggest improvements come inside the cabin, where Honda has expanded the equipment list and added several comfort-focused features. One of the key additions is ventilated rear seats, which Honda describes as a segment-first feature. The front seats are now both powered and ventilated, further improving comfort for occupants. Other new features include a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors and capacitive-touch LED rear reading lamps. CVT-equipped variants also benefit from an electronic parking brake with an auto-hold function. Honda has revised the dashboard design as well. The previous faux-wood trim has been replaced by white leatherette padding with contrasting stitching, giving the cabin a more upscale appearance. Higher-specification variants also receive factory-fitted ambient lighting. The safety equipment has also been upgraded. The WR-V facelift now receives rear disc brakes and an enhanced Honda Sensing ADAS package with adaptive cruise control featuring low-speed follow. Other existing safety and technology features continue, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, semi-digital instrument cluster, single-pane sunroof, lane-watch camera, wireless smartphone charger, smartphone connectivity and six airbags. Honda has also added extra sound-deadening material to improve cabin refinement. The company claims that these changes reduce road and engine noise, resulting in improved insulation and lower NVH levels. the Honda WR-V facelift remains mechanically unchanged. It continues to use a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine producing 121 hp and 145 Nm of torque. The engine is available with either a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic gearbox. Honda claims fuel-efficiency figures of 15.31 km/l for the manual version and 16.61 km/l for the CVT. #honda #wrv #hondawrv #hondawrv2027 #hondawrvprice #hondawrvpowertrain #hondawrvrevealed #hondawrvdrive Thank you for watching.
