The New OMODA 5 begins a new chapter with a significant evolution that goes beyond standard cosmetic changes to strengthen its design, technology, and user experience. The new OMODA 5 features a refreshed look with cleaner lines, particularly noticeable at the front and rear. The front end now sports simpler forms, while the side profile retains its compact SUV proportions and introduces new 18-inch alloy wheels with a design distinct from the previous model. Changes are also evident at the rear. The taillights feature a new lightning-bolt light signature, and the rear section debuts a more geometric design. The exhaust outlets are concealed to maintain a cleaner look. Additionally, the lineup offers an optional two-tone body finish. Dimensions vary slightly depending on the powertrain. The new OMODA 5 measures 4.53 m in length, 1.82 m in width, and 1.59 m in height, with a wheelbase of 2.61 m. A key focus of the updated OMODA 5 is its interior. The dashboard features a new layout that places greater emphasis on technology and changes the screen arrangement compared to the previous model. A digital 8.9-inch instrument cluster sits in front of the driver, while a new 15.6-inch central touchscreen—used to manage key vehicle functions—is integrated into the dashboard (replacing the 12.3-inch screen found in the earlier OMODA 5). The center console includes new storage areas, such as a compartment beneath the armrest. The interior features a black and gray color scheme. Comfort features include a heated steering wheel and heated front seats. Depending on the trim level, additional features include ventilated front seats, six-way power adjustment, ambient lighting, and 50W wireless mobile phone charging. The new OMODA 5 SHS hybrid features the advanced Super Hybrid System (SHS) technology, a solution combining an efficient gasoline engine, two electric motors, a 1DHT automatic transmission, and an NMC traction battery. Thanks to this configuration, the new OMODA 5 SHS hybrid delivers a combined output of 224 hp and a peak torque of 295 Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 175 km/h, while maintaining a projected combined fuel consumption of 5.2 l/100 km and CO₂ emissions of 118 g/km. Additionally, its 51-liter fuel tank enables a combined driving range of up to 1,000 kilometers, enhancing its versatility for both daily commuting and long-distance travel. The system's high performance and efficiency rely primarily on a gasoline engine delivering 143 hp and 215 Nm of torque, capable of both driving the vehicle and generating energy to recharge the battery. This unit—a turbocharged, four-cylinder 1.5 TGDI (Turbo Gasoline Direct Injection) engine—forms the foundation for the brand's hybrid and plug-in hybrid models. The DHE (Dedicated Hybrid Engine) designation indicates that it was developed specifically for electrified vehicles. This engine is notable for achieving exceptionally high levels of efficiency. Weighing 106 kg, it operates on the deep Miller cycle and incorporates proprietary technologies that allow it to achieve a thermal efficiency of 44.5%—one of the highest figures in the industry. Traction battery The battery powering the main electric motor features NMC (nickel-manganese-cobalt) chemistry and a capacity of 1.83 kWh. It is capable of delivering an instantaneous discharge power of up to 85 kW for 10 seconds, enhancing performance under heavy acceleration uch as when overtaking on the highway.
