A beautiful apartment in New York City, steady work restoring priceless paintings, a devoted husband named Jack whose warmth fills every room, and a little daughter who makes their small family feel complete. For years she has believed she knows this man better than anyone alive. She has slept beside him, raised a child with him, trusted him with every corner of her heart. And she has no idea that almost none of what he told her about himself is true. It begins with small things. A phone call meant for someone else. A name Jack claims not to recognize. A woman who seems to know far more about her husband than a stranger ever should. Adrienne tells herself there is an explanation for all of it, the way any loving wife would. But when Jack is killed in a sudden car accident on an icy road, the questions do not die with him. They multiply. Because the deeper Adrienne digs into the life of the man she just buried, the more she realizes the paperwork does not add up, the past does not exist, and the real Jack Saunders died a very long time ago. What Adrienne uncovers turns her grief into something colder and far more dangerous. The husband she trusted stole another man's name, buried his own crimes under a decade of lies, and may not be as dead as the closed casket suggests. Alone with her daughter and no one left to believe her, Adrienne has to decide how far she is willing to go to protect the only family she has left and whether the quiet woman he underestimated is finally done being deceived. Some betrayals end a marriage. This one is only the beginning of the fight for her life. ___________________________________________ 🎬 Movie Title: Deceived (1991) 🎭 Genre: Psychological Thriller / Mystery 🎬 Director: Damian Harris ⭐ Starring: Goldie Hawn, John Heard 📅 Runtime: ~1h 48m ___________________________________________ Welcome to Warner Movie Recaps, where we break down the most gripping thrillers, true-crime dramas, and intense mystery films into powerful, easy-to-follow recaps so you can experience the full movie in minutes. ___________________________________________ Copyright Disclaimer under Section 107 of the Copyright Act of 1976: Allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, education, and research.
