A gentle, soft-spoken nurse with a spotless home, a careful routine, and a quiet dream of saving enough to open her own practice. She is sweet to every patient, patient with every neighbor, and the last person on earth anyone would ever call dangerous. Then one afternoon a stranger arrives at her door for a blind date, and in a single hour he turns the safest place she has into the site of the worst day of her life. The man is caught and sent to prison, and everyone around her waits for the gentle nurse to fall apart. Instead, she does something no one can understand. She starts writing to him. She starts visiting him. She speaks to the man who destroyed her with a calm, forgiving smile, until even he begins to believe she has let it go. When he is finally released, she welcomes him back into her life. She lets him into her home, lets him help rebuild the very house where it happened, and lets him think he has been given a second chance by the one person who should hate him most. He believes he is forgiven. Everyone believes she is healing. But behind every soft smile is a plan she has been building, patiently, for a very long time. In a chilling, slow-burn revenge story about the quietest people hiding the deepest resolve, the gentle nurse no one ever suspected is about to show him exactly who he should never have crossed twice. ___________________________________________________________________________ Hey!
