Clearing Garden Stones at My Family Home: 2 Trips, 4.14 Metric Tons for ¥36,598

Today I’m clearing the remaining garden stones at my family home. Last time, I loaded them onto the dump truck by hand, and it was hard work. This time, I brought an excavator. I should have done that from the start. The disposal site closes at 5 p.m., so I had to hurry to fit in a second trip. Most of the people there are contractors who know each other. I’m just an ordinary customer paying in cash, so I try to stay out of the way, unload the stones, and leave. Cleaning up the land I inherited continues to take time and money, which is why I’m documenting the process. This load: 2.57 metric tons, ¥22,649 Total for 2 trips: 4.14 metric tons, ¥36,598 There are still more stones left to remove.
