Description

Another morning on the land my father left me, with the same pile of concrete. The excavator is right there, and I'm still filling the bucket by hand. I'm still clearing this inherited land mostly by trial and error. This is the fourth round of hauling concrete away. I tried scooping it with the bucket from the seat, but I kept dragging up way too much soil, so in the end I loaded every piece by hand. After a day like that my muscles ache for two or three days, and the cause of my back pain needs no explanation at all. On this channel I've been experimenting with voiceovers in many languages for about ten months. It's up to 85 languages now. Since viewers from Kannada-speaking areas, from Myanmar and from English-speaking countries keep increasing, I made three free little apps where you can pick up a bit of Japanese: English → Japanese: https://baken-saga.itch.io/english-japanese-100 Burmese → Japanese: https://baken-saga.itch.io/myanmar-japanese-100 Kannada → Japanese: https://baken-saga.itch.io/kannada-japanese-100 It's been four years since my father passed away. Whether I hold a grudge against him over this land or not, I still haven't worked out myself. Even after the rubbish is gone, the property tax and the grass cutting costs will keep rolling in. Still, there isn't much left of what you can see on the surface, and I'll take that small bit of satisfaction. --- 00:00 Early morning, starting on the inherited land 00:18 The 85 languages and the apps for Kannada, Burmese and English viewers 01:00 Concrete that shows no sign of running out 03:08 Desk work and heavy lifting on the same day 04:52 Lifting more than I should and paying for it with my back 05:50 Ancestors, heredity and my kids' music 08:03 Stopping halfway and calling it a day If you stuck around to the end of this little concrete festival, you're welcome to join the small subscribe festival too. It's free, and it's good for my back. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCb565Js1E3w7L9xreF5rzXw?su
