Description

Once again, I'm spending the day picking up concrete on inherited land in Niigata. The site is 300 kilometers from my home, so I film the work there and record the voiceover after I get back home. Today, my wife picked up what looked like old sandbags, and then we found another mysterious rope with no obvious source. This land is strictly regulated and can only be used for farming, but my father didn't care about that at all. He kept birds here and treated the place almost like a garbage dump. So whenever we dig around, something else turns up. The biggest pieces are reinforced concrete, and the rebar is tangled and connected, making them extremely difficult to move. Honestly, it makes me angry. I know he didn't mean any harm, and I know he could be like an innocent child. But there are still days when I get angry. In the end, I took the concrete to a disposal facility. It cost about 3,000 yen for three tons. I could find the exact amount if I looked for the receipt, but that's too much trouble, so I didn't. 00:00 Continuing from the last video — picking up concrete again 00:52 Old sandbags and a mysterious rope 01:43 Watching the land get cleared in high speed 02:02 My strange multilingual experiment 04:45 Reinforced concrete won't go on the dump truck 05:24 Moving it to the edge for the next job 05:54 About 3,000 yen to dispose of three tons I've spent a year quietly making multilingual audio for my videos.
