Description

I’m Afraid to Ride Again… And It’s Breaking Diane’s Heart The Part of Farm Life No One Talks About. Life on a small farm can look pretty peaceful from the outside — horses in the pasture, morning chores, beautiful views and quiet trail rides. But there’s another side of this life that we don’t talk about very often. In this video, Diane and I sit down together and have a very personal conversation about horses, family, fear, getting older, and how much life changes once the kids grow up and begin building lives of their own. For Diane, riding has never just been about horses. Some of her favorite memories are of our kids saying, “Let’s saddle up,” and heading out together for a trail ride. Those days meant more to her than I think even I fully understood. We also talk about some of the difficult years that came before this farm — the stress of business, financial struggles, and some things we’ve carried with us for a very long time. There are some laughs, some tears, and a lot of honesty in this one. If you're in that season of life where the kids have grown, the house feels a little different, and you occasionally find yourself wondering where all those years went… we think you'll understand this conversation. Thanks for spending a little time with Diane and Brian here at Field & Fence. ❤️ #FarmLife #EmptyNest #LifeAfter50 #HorseLife #CountryLiving
