We Went House Hunting… for a Chicken! We Knew Something Was Wrong With Henny Our Chickens Won’t Accept Her… So We Had to Do Something Life in our 50s definitely isn’t slowing down. 😂 What started as an ordinary Saturday at Field & Fence turned into one of those days that pretty much sums up our life right now. Henny Hen has been getting bullied by the flock, so Diane and I decided it was time to give her a safe place of her own. That sent us on a road trip to pick up a new chicken coop—with thunderstorms along the way—and, of course, things didn’t exactly go according to plan. Meanwhile, Tess, one of our miniature dachshunds, has developed a strange little routine of stealing Henny’s egg every morning, carrying it away…and eventually eating it. 😂 Horses, chickens, dogs, farm projects, road trips and unexpected adventures.
