She has never eaten pizza with friends. She has never gone to a school dance. She has never sat in a classroom pretending to be a normal teenager. And when her latest mission goes wrong and she is presumed dead, Megan sees the opportunity she has been waiting for her entire life. Instead of returning to Prescott, she quietly disappears into a suburban American town, enrolls in a local high school as a foreign exchange student, and begins the ordinary teenage life she has always dreamed of. But Megan has no idea that her old handler Hardman has already figured out she is still alive. And she has no idea that a ruthless international crime boss named Victoria Knox the exact woman Megan was supposed to eliminate on her final mission has been quietly hunting her from the shadows, waiting for the perfect moment to make her pay for the job she left unfinished. At Megan's new school, life is not what she expected. Her assigned host family is chaotic. Her host sister Liz treats her like a threat from the moment she walks through the door. The popular boy she has a crush on barely notices she exists. And the bullies who pick on the quiet foreign exchange student have absolutely no idea what she is capable of doing to them with her bare hands. Megan does everything she can to keep her cover intact, hiding her deadly training behind an awkward smile, until the day Victoria Knox finally tracks her down and turns Megan's peaceful high school life into the exact battlefield she was trying to escape. Directed by Kyle Newman and released in 2015, Barely Lethal is an action-comedy thriller about a teenage killer trying to be a normal girl, the terrible cost of a childhood she never had, and the moment a ruthless agency and a rival crime boss learn that the quiet exchange student they are hunting is the deadliest weapon they ever created. Some girls dream of prom night. Some girls dream of pizza with friends. And some girls dream of the day they finally get to put down the gun and be the version of themselves the world never let them be. Like if you would have chosen the normal life too. ___________________________________________ Hey!
