Description
This fluffy air fryer apple cake starts with caramelized apples, cinnamon and brown sugar, then gets covered with a light vanilla batter. The result is a soft, golden homemade dessert with plenty of apple flavor.
Ingredients
🍎 200 g (7 oz) apples
🍬 25 g (0.9 oz) brown cane sugar
🌿 5 g (0.18 oz) cinnamon
🧈 30 g (1.1 oz) butter
🥚 4 eggs
🧂 Salt
🌼 2 g (0.07 oz) vanillin
🍬 200 g (7 oz) sugar
🌾 200 g (7 oz) flour
🥄 11 g (0.4 oz) baking powder
🍚 Powdered sugar
Recipe
Line a baking dish with parchment paper.
Add 200 g (7 oz) chopped apples, then sprinkle with 25 g brown cane sugar and 5 g cinnamon. Mix well.
Spread 30 g finely chopped butter over the apples.
Bake in the air fryer for 20 minutes at 170°C / 340°F.
For the batter, crack 4 eggs into a deep bowl. Add a little salt and whisk until smooth.
Add 2 g vanillin and 200 g sugar. Beat with a mixer for 5–7 minutes until the mixture becomes light, fluffy and airy.
Sift in 200 g flour and 11 g baking powder. Gently fold everything together with a spatula from the bottom upward so the batter stays airy.
Pour the batter over the baked apples and spread it evenly over the surface.
Bake for 25 minutes at 165°C / 330°F.
Remove the cake, carefully flip it onto parchment paper and return it to the air fryer.
Bake for another 10 minutes at 170°C / 340°F.
Transfer the finished cake to a board, dust with powdered sugar, cut into portions and serve.
