Canadians, How Many More Warnings Do You Need About the United States?

At what point do Canadians finally get the message that crossing into the United States isn't what it used to be? According to the latest figures from Global Affairs Canada, arrests and detentions involving Canadians in the US have jumped by nearly 60 per cent, even as Canadian visits have fallen by 25 per cent. And I think this should be a pretty serious warning for anyone still thinking about heading south. What concerns me even more is that we're not just talking about tourists crossing the border for a weekend. We're talking about Canadian citizens who have lived in America for decades, some with green cards, American spouses, children and entire lives built there, now facing increased scrutiny and potential deportation over immigration violations. In today's video, I look at the latest figures, what immigration lawyer Len Saunders is saying about Canadians caught up in US immigration enforcement, and why the growing Canada US border tensions should concern anyone who still thinks everything is perfectly normal. With Tom Homan talking about focusing on the northern border, I really don't understand why some Canadians are still willing to take unnecessary chances. Let me know what you think. Do you still know Canadians who regularly cross into the United States, or has everything that's happened over the past couple of years finally changed their minds? ----------------------------------- How To Support The Guard The Leaf Channel Buy Me A Coffee https://buymeacoffee.com/guardtheleaf Guard The Leaf Substack https://guardtheleaf.substack.com/ Guard The Leaf Merch Store https://shop.guardtheleaf.com ----------------------------------- e-7531 (Foreign affairs) https://www.ourcommons.ca/petitions/en/Petition/Details?Petition=e-7531 Arrests and detentions of Canadians spike in the U.S. Travel registrations surge, too https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/article/arrests-and-detentions-of-canadians-spike-in-the-us-travel-registrations-surge-too/ This Canadian says that Canada should adopt the US dollar and become the 51st state https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1A29K8g29b/ Jessie May🎨 https://www.tiktok.com/@jessiemay.art/video/7676649329389489424 https://www.etsy.com/shop/ArtistJessieMay?etsrc=sdt GTL Community Photo Map https://google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1RY_LT1cX8-QSl8LpEoCHhj1MgPjexgk&usp=sharing Proton Email Referral Link https://pr.tn/ref/4Z7GCXPE Guard The Leaf Social Links: Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/guardtheleaf.bsky.social Substack: https://guardtheleaf.substack.com/ Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/GuardTheLeaf/ Hey.Cafe: https://hey.cafe/r/guardtheleaf Discord: https://discord.gg/MuCCQnUQ7u 00:00 Intro 03:04 Canadians In The US Beware 11:14 Another Fake Canadian? 13:36 Canadian Artist And Her Struggles
