Florida Has Found Someone Else To Pay Its Bills. Canadians

Florida apparently has another great idea for Canadian snowbirds. Give Florida residents property tax relief and make sure Canadians who own property there can keep helping pay the bills. Lovely. Ron DeSantis has openly talked about wanting Canadian tourists to subsidize Florida so residents can pay less tax. And now, with Florida looking at major property tax changes, Canadian snowbirds and other non resident property owners could find themselves carrying even more of the load. For me, this goes beyond Florida property taxes. It says a lot about where Canada US relations are right now and how some American politicians seem to view Canadians. They want the Canadian money, the Canadian tourists and the Canadian property owners, but apparently respecting the people bringing that money is optional. We are already seeing a US Tourism Decline Canada has played a major part in, Canadian snowbirds leaving Florida and more Canadians avoiding America altogether.
