Description

On the night of December 20th, 1984, a 12-year-old girl was dropped off at her home in Greeley, Colorado, after singing in her school Christmas concert. Her parents were out. She went inside, turned on the lights, and set her shoes by the heater. When her father came home an hour later, the shoes were still there. Jonelle was not. Her face went on milk cartons and into a presidential address. Her body stayed buried in a field for almost 35 years. And the man a jury decided had taken her spent those decades unable to stop talking about her, until the one detail he knew that he never should have known finally sent him to prison.
